Hours of Operation:

  • Saturdays except holidays: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Wednesdays except holidays: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM from April 15 – September 15(approximate dates may change)

Dumping of materials in bins before or after hours will result in fines being levied.

$5 fee 33 gal garbage bag or other garbage of equivalent size

Construction Materials are not accepted such as used lumber, siding, shingles, cabinets, carpeting, etc.

Our current hauler is Durand Sanitation. Below is a list of things they will or will not accept.

Paper and cardboard EXCEPT tissue paper, gift wrap, greasy pizza boxes or oily material

Hard cover books if covers are removed        

 Paint pails if completely drained

1-7 numbered plastic items, can leave lids on (except NO oil containers-but see below)

Food or drink metal containers (no other metal)

Food or drink GLASS containers (NO cups, plates, bowls, NO pottery or ceramic, NO light bulbs, NO window or door glass, NO styrofoam)

Metal items          

Car, boat and motorcycle batteries

Christmas light strings and cords

Oil filters ONLY after they have been drained (punch hole in bottom)

Aluminum beverage cans ONLY (NO aluminum foil, aluminum disposable baking pans or any other aluminum cans (i.e., pet food))

Furniture (if broken down) - (above fees apply)

Alkaline batteries

Glass ONLY from doors and windows (MUST be removed from the frames)

We accept machine oil containers at this time, as Terry Glanzman drains them and recycles them at Mondovi Recycling (or do it yourself-the containers MUST be drained)

Tires, concrete, brick, other remodeling or demo material (lumber, siding, shingles, windows, doors, cabinets), fluorescent bulbs, electronics, batteries other than alkaline or car batteries, mattresses and or box springs

Batteries (other than alkaline)-First Choice Computer Recycling

Small fluorescent bulbs-Eau Claire Energy Coop (8214 Hwy 12, Fall Creek) Larger bulbs have a fee

Plastic grocery bags and other plastic film (cereal box liners, bubble wrap, etc.

IF the plastic can be stretched or when torn leaves a ragged edge) can all be recycled at businesses that accept grocery bags-Wall Mart, Festival Foods

Metal can be taken to Alter Metal Recycling (3532 White Ave., EC) or EMR Northern Metal Recycling (8010 Olson Dr., EC)

Freon appliances – Alter Metal Recycling- no fee
