The Drammen Town Hall Garbage & Recycling Center exists to serve residents but only works if everyone follows the rules. Rising costs and loss of staff mean we must all do our part.
Take prohibited items to Eau Claire County Clean Sweep Events (3 times a year) Last event this year: September 20th
Info: Call 715-834-9624 or see the Beaver Creek Reserve Recycler newsletter.
The Center is now monitored 24/7 due to recent illegal dumping of refrigerators and other restricted items. Illegal dumping costs your township money. Citations will be issued if violations continue.
The Town of Drammen is proud of its clean, responsible program. To keep fees low and service available, everyone must follow the rules.
The Town of Drammen’s Waste and Recycling Program is at a critical crossroads. Recycling services remain free to Eau Claire County taxpayers, but the waste program is offered as a courtesy and must be self-sustaining through user fees. With staffing shortages and rising costs, if we cannot find additional attendants or if the waste program cannot financially support itself, the Township will have no choice but to shut down the waste collection portion of the program. Recycling hours would then be reduced to Saturdays only, year-round, and we are considering fencing off the containers to prevent illegal dumping. An attendant must be present whenever recycling is open to ensure rules are followed. We value this service and want to keep it available, but without community support, closures may become necessary.
