Your Responsibility

The Town of Drammen is proud of its clean, responsible program. To keep fees low and service available, everyone must follow the rules.

  • Respect the program
  • Dispose of items properly
  • Help keep Drammen safe, clean, and sustainable

The Town of Drammen’s Waste and Recycling Program is at a critical crossroads. Recycling services remain free to Eau Claire County taxpayers, but the waste program is offered as a courtesy and must be self-sustaining through user fees. With staffing shortages and rising costs, if we cannot find additional attendants or if the waste program cannot financially support itself, the Township will have no choice but to shut down the waste collection portion of the program. Recycling hours would then be reduced to Saturdays only, year-round, and we are considering fencing off the containers to prevent illegal dumping. An attendant must be present whenever recycling is open to ensure rules are followed. We value this service and want to keep it available, but without community support, closures may become necessary.
